Samuel was first exposed to the financial services industry while pursuing his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering in National University of Singapore (NUS). He met his current Associate Director, Mr. Ron Koh, while representing Kent Ridge Hall (KRH) in handball. Hoping to find a career where he can be in control of his progression and build his own team, he joined Advisors' Clique, Great Eastern Financial Advisers (GEFA) as a financial consultant in 2015.
Despite a slow start, Samuel has since qualified for the Great Eastern Life Achievers Club (GELAC) Award from 2016 to 2019, the International Dragon Award (IDA) in 2019 and the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) award in 2020. Samuel is actively seeking to increase his Asset Under Management (AUM) for his investment holdings with iFAST Financials and currently has an AUM of over $1 Million.
Samuel attained his professional designations in Associate Estate Planning Practitioner (AEPP®) in 2016 and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®/S) in 2017.
Samuel was also promoted to a Senior Manager in January 2020 and is currently mentoring a team of 6 associates.
Besides work, Samuel has been the basketball coach for KRH since 2015 as a way of contributing to the hall and continuing his passion in the game of basketball.
