With a heart for people, Li Yan first came onboard Excelsior Financial as a Human Resource Executive in 2015. Her strong interpersonal skills and great personality allowed her to quickly ease into the role and contribute to the agency’s expansion plans. Till date, the agency strength of Excelsior Financial has increased more than threefold.

In 2020, Li Yan has been promoted to the role of an Agency Manger, responsible for overseeing all administrative duties and ensuring that the agency runs efficiently.

Being in the Childhood Education industry for more than a decade, Sally has never thought that she would advance to be a Business Development Manager specialising in the field of General Insurance.

Not having any knowledge in this field and joining the Excelsior Family in their earlier years of building the General Insurance arm, Sally had to pick up everything from scratch.

To understand the industry more as well as to better serve the clients, she has been constantly upgrading herself from taking insurance related examination; speaking with different insurer underwriters to understand the different risk & conditions that they can best offer to clients, to attending new product launches seminar, all with the clients’ best interest in mind.

Now in her 8th year, Sally has proven herself to be the most trustworthy person we can look to for help in the General Insurance side of business.

Nurfarhanah joined Vincent’s team in 2016 as a career switch from a chemical industry. Being a paraplanner she supports Vincent with the administrative work for his life clients and is knowledgeable on the financial products. She is also responsible in training new reps on underwriting matters and technical support. She is like the “Customer Service Officer” but for Vincent’s team.

Being a Virgo, she is very systematic about things. She relieves stress by re-organising and cleaning up her home. She is introvert but approachable. She is friendly but cynical, beware of her snarky comments. She is quick in her work and this is also her pet peeve – when someone does things slowly when it can be done fast. She is closely knitted to her family and friends and would spend most of her free time with them.

Selin handles the onboarding and recruitment process in Excelsior Financial. She finds her role exciting as it allows her to meet new people and build strong interpersonal skills. For the past several years, she has worked in operations, financial advisory and customer service in the banking industry.

Her experiences have enabled her to understand the different areas in the field of financial services and strengthened her ability to collaborate and manage different tasks at once. Selin believes practicing humility and empathy allows her to open up authentic relationships with others, and she is constantly seeking out opportunities to learn and be a better version of herself.
